Hello and welcome to my “Where to level” guide. This was written as Tylx has seemed to move on and though her list provides good places to train in the past and many of those are still good areas, some of the newer good places to train have not been added. This list is a combination of the two: Places that I’ve found good to train at coupled with places that she has included on the list.
In all honesty, I had wanted to post this here a few weeks ago when it was originally finished. However, right before I did post it, I decided to look over WhiteasIce's complete guide and what I noticed was that the places listed here and those found in his guide were VERY similar (even the commentary was similar). This made me hesitant about releasing this as while I did spend a lot of time on it, it was "useless" as it was redundant and releasing it would be hypocritical of me, a person who is often directing others to stickies, guides and search functions. I've had a busy few weeks (my birthday was last week and Im in the process of trying to find a summer job) and after putting it off for so long, Ive decided to pick it up and finally post it here (after seeing 2 threads about a training index on the first page).
A few things to mention before starting:
-While Tylx's guide is very simple and precise to the point and WhiteasIce's is very detailed, I hope this is somewhere in between. If someone wants just a simple guide on where to level, then they can just look at the places. If they want a bit of info on the place, they can open the spoiler and find it. Comments on the format are highly appreciated (both positive and negative). If you find any of the links/pictures are incorrect, please mention it and I will fix it.
-I know there are bunch of "missing guide links" here and that's because I wasnt sure: Do I need to personally ask for permission of each of them to link to their guides? That being said, if you have written a guide here and want to allow its use, posting/PMing me about it would be appreciated. After the posting of this, I intend to PM the owners of the guides for permission to use them but I've been busy so I havent had the time to do that yet.
-This guide is written for a specific group of people and assumes a few things:
1. That you know what an archer is and how to allocate both SP and AP properly (meaning you don’t have points in LUK, didn’t go thrust first and didn’t acquire items like INT overalls and +7’d melee weapons for use during training, etc.)
2. That you understand what equipment a standard archer would have and do whatever it takes to improve your damage (short of things that are against the Terms of Service). This would include simple things such as using a 100%’d dex Sauna/Bath robe, 3 dex green bamboo hat instead of class items that add less stats, despite how bad they look and using the bow suited for your level and things along those lines. In summary, you will be the “average” damage ranged archer with the bare minimum cheap equips (100%’d overall costs less than 400k: 15k for the bathrobe, 350k for 100% overall dex scrolls and Green bamboo hats cost under 100k and are reasonable affordable acquisitions of most archers).

1. Can I use exchange quests up to 30?
Yes you can. However, it will get slow at around 23 and you will spend a lot of money on it. With the release of MTS, this might not be a problem anymore, but you need A LOT of inventory space for this. Do you have the mules for it (both to store exchanges and pots)? If you have all the resources, then you can, but I would recommend training a bit as the exp starts getting slow close to the end of 1st job.
2. What if no one invites me to CPQ when I’m 30 because I’m “too low leveled?
Train at teddies and try again in an hour or something. Teddies are good exp and there’s an npc to CPQ in Ludibrium. If you don’t want to train, just check every once in a while. CPQ is not just about damage but about strategy as well. If you can show you can be efficient at 30, then people will take you in.
3. I am level _____ and I kill ________ on the list too fast? What should I do? I am level ______ and I kill ___________ on the list too slow? What do I do?
If you kill too fast, then pick monsters of a higher level. It means you’re strong and that you can try the higher leveled monsters on the list. Alternatively, if the monsters are too strong, it doesn’t mean you’re too weak. It just means you’re not ready for them yet. Try training in the spots for lower levels. The structure that spots are listed here in a way that averagely funded characters will be able to train at the given spots. If you’re just starting, you might be skipping bows or armor, making it harder to train at some of the given spots.
4. What’s the difference between training at Straw Target Dummies and Hoodoo/Voodoos?
Straw Target Dummies have A LOT more spawn, meaning that it’s more for mobbing. Hoodoo/Voodoos only have 4 per spawn, meaning you will be killing them one at a time. Additionally, Straw Target Dummies have less hp and exp, meaning that as you get higher leveled, you start over-killing them, making them less efficient
5. I went strafe first. When do I go from Hoodoos/Voodoos to Squids?
I would say when you have 15+ strafe and a bit of puppet. That would mean level 77-78ish. However, I would say you should be 1hkoing hoodoos/voodoos a good amount before going (70-80%ish). Training at squids is NOTHING like training at hoodoo/voodoos. Whereas it would take over 5-6 hits for a hoodoo/voodoo to kill you, a squid would kill you in two. Note: Snipers with 1 blizzard and good equips can possibly go squids as early as 71
6. What’s the difference between rain first and strafe first builds in terms of places to train?
Rain first builds will tend to go to monsters that mob well together (gryphons, pirates, gobies) while strafe first builds go to places where you kill monsters one at a time. In theory, rain first builds kill more monsters (meaning more chances of getting drops perhaps?) while strafe first kills fewer monsters but stronger ones.
7. Gobies or Newties? And when do I switch?
Newties = faster exp but major pot burn/money loss (till you find something). Gobies = decent exp with gain from meso drops alone. If you have the money to spare, Newties would be the way to go. If you don’t, then gobies would be better till you earn enough to spare for them. A good time to switch would be 105, when you can get into Newtie parties and get leech exp though that’s still too early for most. In general somewhere between 105 to110 is good. I went at 111 (when they came out).
8. Why wasn’t _____ training spot included?
It’s perhaps because the place is new or has been overlooked. If you found a good training place that is not on the list, feel free to inform me by posting here or sending me a PM and I will add it to the list (and of course, you will be credited for it).

Note: First job is color coded in the following setup. Please look over it before proceeding. Note that the melee weapon recommendation is more for normal build archers (meaning those that have their strength aligned to use the bows/xbows of a certain level). Str-less archers should try the other leveling spots (then again, most STR-less archers are funded, meaning they’d probably level with exchange items anyways.
Orange = Melee weapon recommended
Green = sniping spots (meaning you will burn none or close to no HP pots when training)
Purple = Training without sniping spots (use double shot/arrow blow to kill monsters faster as these monsters can run into you, leading to bow whacking)
Levels 10-15

Comments: Simple enough. Click on the npc in Orbis and level away. It’ll take 3800 pieces to get from 10-15. You’ll be on the boat longer than you’ll be actually clicking away but even with that time, it’s fastest this way. You don’t have to necessarily stop at 15, but you’ll have to have a few mules full of exchanges to get further than 15. Going up to 20 is definitely a possibility if you have the inventory space for it and have the inventory space for it. Note that even just going up to 15, you’ll have enough pots to last all of first job.
Comments: Melee weapon recommended as Southern Forest Dungeon I have many ledges, some blocking arrows
-Seen above is a “sniping spot” on the map. Slimes may jump close to you, but if you stand against the wall, they won’t hit you (saves hp pots, but slower than using a melee weapon).
-melee weapon recommended (just like slimes) though there is a sniping spot as seen above (safe from orange mushrooms, but not from slimes that jump up from the below ledges).
-Note: Orange mushrooms can jump, SO THE HAYSTACK IS NOT A “SNIPING SPOT”
-Mushroom Garden is more spaced out with lots of climbing. Bow use is recommended here as you will rarely be overrun to the point you can’t shoot.
Levels 15-20

Comments: Training spot is a long walk from town, being 16-17 maps away.
-Trixsters only move up and down, meaning they don’t have a chance to hit you unless you stand beneath them.
-Eye of the Amazon should be close to if not maxed for this in order to hit all the spiders seen in the first picture. If you don’t have a good level of Eye of the Amazon, the 2nd picture would be better.
Comments: First two maps are bigger with more sniping spots (basically, sniping across any ledge) while third is smallest, meaning less climbing but also fewer sniping spots (photo above is the only true sniping spot on the map.
-Sharing increases spawn (Best way would be to grab two others and party on the third map with one on top, one on middle and one at bottom to keep up the spawn)
-Desert Rabbits (Location: Tent of the Entertainers (no map available yet. Second map out from far right portal)

Comments: A 2x version of STD maps (Low spawn, small, flat map, high respawn rate).
-There are 5 Jr. Cacti on the map and have slightly more hp and give slightly more exp than the desert rabbits (450 hp, 37 exp).
-Whereas you travel back and forth on the Desert Rabbit map, here it would probably be fastest if one stood in the middle and just shot at jr. cacti on both sides.
Comments: This is an “old school” training area. People have been training here since the beginning of maple for their 2x/3x levels.
-Bottom of Ant tunnel 1 has a “sniping spot” for archer that is for the most part safe (see above picture. The only time it is not safe is when a zombie mushroom jumps down from the top every few minutes). Stand there and fire off arrows and they will hit both the bottom and top ledge.
-Ant Tunnel 4 is for taking the whole map. What makes it decent training is that there is no climbing involved (which slows down killing time).
-Kill from top to bottom and when you reach the bottom, you change channels. Changing channels puts you at the top again.

2nd job has training grounds divided into the two jobs: Crossbowman and Hunter. The main difference is in their mobbing attacks. Iron Arrow (Crossbowman attack) is straight while Arrow bomb (Hunter attack) can travel and hit monsters in both vertical and horizontal directions from impact (and also stuns). Iron Arrow will be abbreviated IA and Arrow Bomb will be referred to as just Bomb.
Note: it is assumed that by now, you will ALWAYS be attacking with double shot or arrow blow, meaning that the previous coloring for melee, sniping and skills are no longer separated.
Green = Both Hunter and Crossbowman
Blue = Hunter
Red = Crossbowman

Comments: A mini-game style PQ that gives really fast exp.
-You don’t use pots in here (as the game has its own form of pots) but you also don’t pick up mesos.
-Despite not picking up mesos, you will make money here by looting the coins dropped by the PQ and exchanging them for necklaces that add +1 to all stats.
-A good way to make new friends/find people to train with for later levels
Comments: Of the teddy maps, Sky Terrace I yielded the best exp (75%/hr at level 30).
-Terrace hall is often crowded and people going by tend to kill some of the spawn so the surrounding maps would be better options.
-Exp drops rapidly as you level here, going from 75% at 30 to 65 at 32 and down to 45 at 34.
-For the most part, teddies don’t mob much and as your bomb/IA will be level 1, it is often faster to kill them with arrow blow/double shot.
-Royal Cactus (Location: Royal Cactthus Desert-hidden street 4 maps outside the left portal of Ariant.)

Comments: A higher level'd version of the Young Catthus Desert map (has 6 spawn instead of 5) and has a better hp:exp ratio than teddies.
-Map is slightly bigger than the Jr. Cactus one so there will be more moving (though still considerably less movement than at teddies) though the same stand in the middle and fire both ways theory could still work.
-Perhaps a better training alternative than teddies (I really want to test this out but I dont have a 3x archer to do tests with, lol)?
Comments: Since the beginning of OMS 3 years ago, 3x and 4x people trained here.
-The map is best shared with one other person: One person taking the ledges while another sweeps the floor (Above picture: Sniping spot at ledges of yellow kitties).
- All kitties drop solid horns, which can be used in the exchange quest meaning that they can sell for decent sums of money (or you can use them to leech up another character). Kitties also drop 60% weapon scrolls (Red-claw, Yellow-bow, purple/blue-wand)
-This training spot has been replaced by Sakura Cellions, which have better terrain and better spawn.
Comments: Most people tend to train here instead of the map of Jr. Kitties as this map is flat and has better spawn.
- Instead of dropping solid horns, they drop Cellion tails (another exchange piece) and more mesos.
-Many people train here so the maps are often crowded. If you can’t get a whole map, sharing/partying is still good exp.
-Kiyos (Location: 3rd map from the 2nd right portal of Ariant.)

Comments: Just as Desert Rabbits and Jr. Cacti can be compared, so can Royal Cacti and this map (small map with low spawn vs big map with lots of spawn).
-Though the terrain is good, Sakura Cellions are still a better training alternative as the terrain is smaller and the spawn is better (credits to WhiteasIce for that in thispost
Comments: The step up from Wild boars. The reason this is more crossbowman recommended is because the map is flat, giving IA an advantage over Bomb (except for at the steps on either side of the map.
-Both classes can train here, though there are better spots for training now.
-Alternative maps would be “Perion Dungeon Entrance”, which has a mixture of fire boars, wild boars and dark stumps. Here, like the Burnt Land, IA has advantage over Arrow Bomb.

Comments: Not as popular as before as it is slower than Carnival PQ and the rewards are less attractive.
Side Note: People like using summoning bags to kill people who do this PQ so it is advised you stay on the upper ledges.
Comments: Hunter only as Bomb’s range is based on splash damage (hits vertically as seen in above picture). IA would only be able to hit one row at a time. (Recommended for late 3x when you have maxed mastery and a decent level of bomb).
-If you have a HS mule with max tele (max tele allows for you to get around the tree faster), you can leech yourself in Tree Dungeon II (leech level = 35)
-Lupin dolls can be sold for up to 1k each as they’re needed for a quest.
Comments: More x-bow friendly as the map is flat (meaning IA owns). Hunters can train here too but why would they when they can train at the much friendlier Zombie Lupins?
-A boss that does 2.8k damage (Headless Horseman) spawns here every 12 hours so be careful when training here/expect high levels to come running through killing your spawn once in a while.
Comments: A relatively unknown and empty training ground. I myself didn’t even know of it till my friend told me he could level almost once every two hours there at close to level 50.
-Hp pot usage will be low as you’ll be swim-shooting (like above picture)
-Scuba pepes don’t mob well so you’ll be mostly using DS/AB.

Comments: Very dangerous to get here (no pun intended) as you have to go through sharks (which kill you in one hit).
-Pot cost if high and exp is only decent at best in comparison to other places.
-Hunter only as bomb’s range can gather more Flyeyes together. It is advised that you be able to kill them with bomb in 2-3 hits as when they get stunned, they sink to the bottom of the map, making them unhittable till they fly up again.
-In general there are better places to train (mainly, monkey forest II).
-Retz (Location: Helios Tower 99 (No Image available))

Comments: An alternative better than Flyeyes but not as fast as z-lupins. Worth training at as they drop 60% bow scrolls (that you can use on your bows later on).
-The ledge in the picture above is where you will be standing for the most part. Make sure there are no Retz directly below you as if there are, you will bow whack it, and it’ll just stay below you, making it hard to arrow bomb.
-When spawn slows, kill the Retz on the ledges above it (bomb from the 2nd peg below each ledge) or kill the spawn below (spawn below has no sniping spot so it’s harder).
Comments: A viable training place though there are better out there
-Both Bomb and IA have their advantages here (Bomb hits only one ledge but you can hit multiple one ledges without moving, IA has more horizontal range but requires more moving)
-Requires little pot useage as one will simply be navagating on the middle ledges, going up and down on them for the most part
-Spawn will slow down after a while as jr. neckis build up on the bottom. One then has two options: change channels (its empty enough that you can just find a new map if you dont want to kill neckis) or clear the bottom spawn before continuing.
Comments: Again a flat map, making Iron Arrow more useful than bomb.
-Map mobs well in general so both hunters and crossbowmen can train here.
- Flat maps also mean that you use more hp pots (as you have no sniping spots).
-Only come here if Straw Target Dummies are full (as they’re better exp).

Comments: Old school training place. This place yielded good money as their exchanges give 60% cape INT.
- Bomb is good for the ledges and IA is good for the bottom so both classes can train here.
-Ledges like seen in the above pictures can act as sniping ledges (When they get too close, use PKB to get space to shoot again if you have it).
-The exp isn’t as fast as Monkey Forest or Straw Target Dummies but it’s decent and yields good money. -No ksing mages here! Luster pixies are strong to all forms of magic so mages generally stay away from them. Start at Park IV (star and lunar pixies)at low 4x and move your way up to VI by the end of 4x (Luster with the occasional Lunar).
-After visiting the revamped Cloud Park VI I noticed these things: The spawn has increased (top two ledges that were always so annoying were taken out. There were 3-4 Lusters on each platform) and the platforms were easier to reach (spawn point on bottom left could now reach the bottom ledges).
Comments: Beginner map has best spawn. Late 4x is the absolute earliest you can come here and even then, you will run into people trying to ks you (the maps are really crowded). Partying provides better exp.
-If you have a character that has max holy symbol, you can stick it in town and party with someone and just go into town to get HS and come back out (close to 30%/hr up to 70).
Comments: Jr. Yetis are slower than STDs in terms of exp but give better money as their etc. drops can be sold as exchanges (500-1k each) and they drop 60% glove attacks.
-During events, the map is filled with event monsters, making the exp even lower compared to STDs
-Jr. Yetis mob very easily, making it good for usage of both IA and Bomb.

Comments: Old School training. It’s a long walk from El Nath and there are tones of dangerous monsters along the way that might kill you, but back in the day when the maps were flat, this was ideal training.
-Ledges and timers now exist at zombies and they are still a training option but not as good as they once were with the new options for training (mainly STDs).
Comments: Another Old School training place. This was for when Jr. Yetis were overrun with fire mages and when zombies were overrun with… every other class. The exp here is decent though even slower than Jr. Yetis (which are slower than Monkey Forest II and STDs).
-Hectors provided good money as their exchange quests give out 10% overall dex and ancient scrolls while hectors themselves drop 60% Cape Dex and other items that have good npc values (Golden Crows, Serpent’s Coil, etc.)
-Power Knockback is useful here as there are small ledges that are filled with hectors, making it hard at times to find shooting room.

In 3rd job, the places will be colored as follows:
Green = Strafe first build
Blue = Arrow Rain/Arrow Eruption first build
Red = Early Inferno Build
Places where builds do not matter will be in Black. If a place is more ranger/sniper friendly, it will be specified in italics.
Comments: I prefer Mountain Cliffs over Highlands as if you fall off of highlands, you end up two maps back and have to walk back.
-Gryphons tend to mob around the tele portals so you can just rain, tele, rain, etc. and just mob them all at the end. The other killing way is seen in the picture, where you clear the mobs around the portal one by one (finishing the mob before you move on).
-Train here until you get 4 or 7 rain (though you can bypass this completely for HT pirates if you have good equips).
Comments: Horrible HP/EXP ratio but the amazing spawns makes up for it.
-Rain hits both the middle and bottom ledge so you’ll be hitting many pirates most of the time.
- Training here can start anywhere from 1 rain and last till you go gobies at mid-late 8x.
-Though the pot cost is high (you’re constantly running into them), money here is good as you can make 600k pure mesos in 1 hour (1k/minute). Additionally, if you get lucky, you can find 10% shoe jumps, 10% dagger ATK, blue and green scarabs and kandines.
Comments: If you start black squids early on without hp washing, you should have only a bit of hp to spare for a squid’s bump damage, meaning losing hp cause of water, standing in their 150/second mist or getting hit by their spitting mist could mean the difference between being able to take a hit and not being able to take a hit.
-A Zakum helmet will reduce the spitting damage to 1, making it easier for you to survive.
-It is recommended you bring two types of potions, a smaller healer to bring you back to full after taking small hits/water hp loss and a big healer (barbarian elixirs) for when you run into a squid. Black Squid’s guide:
Comments: If you went strafe first and want to train here, make sure you have PKB. If you went rain first, just rain away on the fast spawning ledges.
-Usually, these maps will be full enough that you will only get one ledge. That itself is enough for you to get good exp. These drop 60% glove attacks and tobis so making money will be easy if you find drops.

Comments: Not many people train here anymore with all the other alternatives around now.
-Death Teddies used to be decent when the red block glitch was still around but now it’s just a massive pot burn for decent exp at best. Stick to Black squids.
Comments: They hurt. You’ll spend lots of money on pots, but finding drops here will make up for it as they drop ilbis, blue scarabs, blue screamers, 10% claw and have the highest meso drops in game.
-Some puppet is required for training here.
-Snipers with blizzard can train here at early 7x. Rangers should hold off till mid 8x where they have a good arsenal of attacking skills.
Comments: I personally love training here as it utilizes all skills archers have. I would say it’s best to come here with at least 20 strafe and 21 rain.
-Bone fish will be hard to handle at first so I would recommend letting them mob up in the ledge above bottom and cycling the rest of the map.
-Leech level is 85 but effective partying will probably be around 95 when you have a decent level of hawk.
Comments: A possible alternative to pirates in the 8x levels.
-The GMS version of this map might not be as good as to train on than in SEA and JMS as our Extra Ds are able to jump and are invincible when they stand still (meaning you can’t stun them).
Comments: This place is only possible for those using the mobbing maniac build (inferno and rain first). Pot costs will be high until you get a good level of puppet. Refer to Copious’ guide here:
Comments: 8x archers can solo here on the middle platform but odds are, if you’re in a full server at a busy time, you’ll be chased out.
-Getting there is fairly dangerous so the best way is to ask for a door from a priest/bishop friend.
Jr. Newties do close to 2k damage while the big ones (that spawn on the ledges above, below and far right on the middle ledge) do roughly 2.7-2.8k. If you plan on just killing the two that don’t transform in the middle platform, you can come here anytime you have 2k hp.
-If you plan on going here straight from black squids with a strafe first build, rain can be replaced by hawk as rain is never used sniping the middle platform.
-People don’t party here anymore (this was THE spot to train before Aqua Dungeon) but soloing is possible with all the sniping spots (only place with no sniping spots is bottom).
-There is a quest that gives you 63k exp for killing 20 Vikings that is repeatable once a day.
-The exp at Vikings is not as good as that of other places such as Gobies, Squids and Jr. Newties so most people don’t come here anymore other than to do the quest once a day.
-The only way to make money here is to get lucky with npc drops or finding ilbis.

Levels 90-100 (by now you should have both rain and strafe so the coloring will be for the most part taken out)
Comments: Leech level is 93 so that’s the earliest you can train there.
-Middle spot = little spawn but pure sniping.
-Puppet and hawk are really helpful here. Hawk more so than puppet as squids are pretty stubborn to be puppetized (takes 3 or so hits before they react).
-Most parties will either have a non-leeching HS priest on the box or a moving leeching priest (though sometimes you’ll have a lazy leeching HS priest).
Comment: Put here in the 90-100 section as that’s when I was able to train here. If you don’t hp wash, you’ll probably not have the hp till close to 100 or 110.
-Sharks are basically only trained at when gobies are full. The exp is decent but slightly slower than squid and goby parties. Dispel and slow (abilities casted by sharks) get annoying and slow down the training pace (Which is what makes hawk so wonderful here. They can stun the sharks before they dispel/slow). --Sharks are “trained” at is that they drop two items that are in great demand amongst 4th job archers: the green storybook and Sharp Eyes 20.
Comments: 105 is the leeching level to get exp from BOTH Newties (100 for the small ones only). You’ll still be doing middle until you have 2.7k hp and can do bottom, where you will kill Transforming Newties.
-Most parties either have 3 attackers (1 top, 1 mid, 1 bottom) or an ultimate spammer (top + mid) and you on the bottom.

Comments: Best to stay away from here till you’re 4th job, though many low 4th jobbers don’t have the hp for training at skeles. It is best to have 3.5k to be safe though you can test it out with hyper body when you have 3.4 to find the exact number (as weapon/magic defense varies from person to person). This is currently the best high leveled training place out at the moment. Partying here will usually involve having a bishop spamming ultimates on top while you cycle middle and bottom (or take one and have someone else taking a different ledge).

Anego hunting

There are two ways to do it:
1. Pinning it
2. Using the "sniping spot" (as seen here. Basically, Anego doesnt come past those stools unless someone pushes it past from the other side.)
There are advantages and disadvantages of both methods:
Advantage of Pinning: Faster (as you will constantly be hitting anego)
Disadvantages of Pinning: Spawn can kill you if you're not careful and you have to be strong enough to be able to keep in the wall and have it not come running out at you.
Advantages of the sniping spot: No chance of death (as it doesnt come past a certain point. The screenshot is a bad example as Im in front of it, but any point behind the sofa is completely safe. Where I am right now is still in range of getting hit if Im unlucky).
Disadvantages of the sniping spot: As SoA is able to push it back, there will be times when you push it "out of range" and have to wait for it to come running back into range again before you can hit it.

Decent guide, but I have a few comments to make -- I'll admit that I didn't read the whole guide -- just the parts that pertained to my training at level 8x, but here are some things I noticed:
Firstly, your guide suggests training on *Black* Squids at Dangerous Sea Gorge I in the 7x levels. This map actually isn't recommended because, although Black Squids are lower leveled and easier to kill than Rissel Squids, there are also Goby Houses on this map which could pose a problem for someone who isn't equipped handle them. My suggestion would be to move on to the next map -- Dangerous Sea Gorge II -- where there are no Goby Houses, but more Rissel Squids than Blacks. It's actually suggested that you go to this map instead in the 8x levels with high strafe (you'd probably have a strafe-first build anyway if you were training here, right?) and level 6-9 puppet for max efficiency. Lately I've been training here myself and I could easy get 20-25% an hour, but because I pick everything up (lol), my percentage per hour has been knocked down to about 15%.
Another hugely popular alternative to squids from levels 7x-9x are Windraiders at Lower Ascent. Lots of platforms for easy sniping, but getting here as a bowman (since bowmen have low HP/low defense) could be troublesome -- especially when trying to get past Elderwraiths (they 1HKO me at level 85).
Secondly, Jr. Newties as the fastest exp in the 8x's? I've never tried it myself, but from what I hear, Typhoons at this level are excellent exp for those with a rain/erupt build. Some people actually prefer to stay at Typhoons until 4th job, though you COULD move on to Jr. Newties in the early 10x's. It is possible to go to Jr. Newties at level 8x, however, it won't be efficient.

as far as i know Typhons are amazing exp from the point you have 21 AR/AE.
most people ive talked to say WR until that point, which should be around 78 or so and then go to typons for amazing exp.

Yeah the Archer training areas changed quite a bit with new maps and all, but the staples have been the Straw dummies in Mu Lung, Kru and Captain Pirates have a bad exp/hp ratio but they make up for it with ridiculous spawn. MP3 is awesome, but once Bowmen have 21 AR/AE its time for Typhons! I'm headed there when I turn 80. (All this ofcourse if you are an AR/AE early build)
But after checking out that soda spewing monster in Malaysia, I might try that too. Its still a little tough at the moment, but at 80 with a stronger bow it should be easier!! I'll probably rotate from Typhons/Soda shooting monster (for them drops!) so as to not get bored of Typhons considering i'll probably be there into 100+
This guide is pretty good, but the Archer training reference on Basil is updated with newer maps and more input from other Archers.
